Cool Season Grasses are Growing

Millium effusum ‘Aureum’ or golden wood millet is one of the first grasses to grow in the spring. A bright yellow for several weeks, it looks good with pansies and spring bulbs. This photo is from April 19, 2010, one year ago; today the plants are just 1-2″ tall.
