Carex pensylvanica

Carex pensylvanica

A new planting in the ground cover area of the Home Demonstration Garden at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Two areas, each small in size, were planted in early August. This native sedge grows less than 12 inches in height and flowers in early April. It will be fun to see how well it grows in the ground cover area.
