A lawn of flowers

Scilla sibirica, Siberian squill, and glory-of-the-snow, Chionodoxa are two small spring bulbs that naturalize and can give you a flowering lawn in the spring. Not mowing for a couple of weeks after the bulbs bloom assumes they will store enough food to re-flower again next year. The blue color of scilla is hard to see in photos!
