Strictus is hardier than Zebrinus

Winter and drought injury are showing up this summer. Strictus, or porcupine grass in the background is much more robust than Zebrinus, in the foreground. Both of these miscanthus cultivars are shorter this year, late spring and cool summer so far. IMG_2870
