Spring division begins

We got  shovel in the ground today, thanks to a strong volunteer! Still a lot of frost in the soil. We dug only 2 plants, enough for 43 and 45 divisions respectively that will grow in the greenhouse for a few weeks until they are planted throughout the state later this year. These are new selections of Indiangrass, Sorghastrum nutans. IMG_1177 IMG_1181
